I was at UCLA during the time coach Wooden was there. You could often hear people sharing his words of wisdom over hamburgers at The Bomb Shelter (the on campus fast food place) and around campus. He was a great leader. I believe he meant do what you do well and don't be distracted by the things that are not your strengths. In a team situation, someone will have your back. The same can be applied to business - do what you are good at and delegate or automate the rest.

I love this quote. It's a great reminder for me. There are so many things I don't know and can't do as I'm in the trenches of getting my business off the ground. I will have to keep reminding myself of all the things I am very good at and figure out how to let those things shine through. Thanks!

Thanks, Lynn, for your comment. When you figure in what your time is worth, and that you could be spending more time on income-producing activities, delegating things that someone else could do better (we all have our strengths and weaknesses) can really make a difference in your business growth. Not to mention freeing you up to be able to spend more quality time with family and friends, which is really what life is all about and where happiness comes from.

Successful entrepreneurs know when to seek help. What a wise statement Deidra! Being entrepreneurs we often try to "go it alone". When in actuality, if we seek out help we are usually much more successful and happier in the end!

Very true, Deidra. It's hard to make sound decisions when you're stressed. It took me a long time to accept that I would be more productive with help, but once I gave in and got assistance, it made a huge difference.
